  • I just bought a cheap 3.50$ yo-yo 3 weeks ago that isn't really good, but I really find yo-yoing fun and want to get a better yo-yo. I was thinking of getting a GrandYo. Do you think that I should or is going for a higher end plastic one a better idea for the long run? What would you suggest?

  • @dylmm From what I can tell the GrandYo is an unresponsive yoyo. If you are just getting into yoyoing this would make using it very frustrating until you have mastered some basic string tricks. Instead I would get a mid-range plastic yoyo ($10-$20) like a Freehand or - if you live in the US - our own Luminator (Advanced Kit). Once you have mastered the basics of string tricks I would then move on to an unresponsive yoyo.

  • Hi, I just got back into YoYoing a couple days ago when my friend bought his yoyo. So I was going o invest some money into getting a good yoyo, I have come up with 2 different choices, a newer yoyo by YoYojam called the C-Force I believe it is Alex Hattori's signature yoyo and it looks like a good choice, and the SR-71 also by YoYo jam. Which one should I go with? If you could get back to me with some answers, that would be great! Thanks

  • @MrDarkvoid10 Personally, I am not a fan of the plastic-metal hybrid yoyo; they tend to be better in concept than execution, and not nearly as durable as other yoyos at a comparable price point. I would lean more in the YoYoFactory direction for either a high end plastic yoyo (the Northstar, for example) or a low end metal yoyo (the DV888). Among these two I would take the Northstar any day.

    Hope this helps!

(Also, YoYoSkills has a review on the SR-71 if you are interested, he loves it.)

  • @yotricks pleace watch these /watch?v=o-dqtfmIs2I and tell me what yoyos is he using?

  • @lolplayism Considering the guy is a YoYoFactory guy most likely he is using Loop 900 yoyos.

  • @yotricks Okay thank you so much! i really appreciate it!

  • do the around the world that was very easy:)

  • @TheCam432 Looping is hard to learn, but the Yomega Fireball and Raider are some of the best looping yoyos on the market (not the Maverick, definitely not the Maverick). The key - besides a ridiculous amount of practice - is to make sure they are properly lubed. If you have brain lube that should be perfect, but if not you can get some Super Lube from us on YoTricks, or use some Petroleum Jelly (Vaseline). When the yoyos are properly lubed they should be very responsive, then it will be easier.

  • SOOOO HARD. This is the impossible for me and I don't know why, I throw it and it eaither just comes straight back to my hand or loops outbut spins so I can't do a second loop. I have been trying forever with yomega fireball, raider, and maverick and none of those work but they should, shouldn't they?
