The police have refuted claims that they had a hand in an incident in which former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga's rural home in Nyandarua County was torched. A 10 to 15 - member gang is said to have raided the rural home on Friday night. About 10 of Maina Njenga's employees were injured and terrorized for hours and a hut razed down. Another house was vandalized. The police say they are investigating the incident alongside previous claims by the former Mungiki leader that his life was in danger. Sally Mbilu reports.

I will never pity that man called Maina Njenga..hundreds of innocent kenyans died as a result of his gang(mungiki) so whether this is a foul play or not.I careless..he will one day die the same painful death..am still wondering why he is roaming free..

MAINA NJENGA THROUGH MUNGIKI HELPED PUT MANY PEOPLE IN THEIR EARLY GRAVES. It's interesting that he values his life so much but never cared about the lives of others.
