Hands under chin make bullet shape for upper body, and poles are som'n to hang on to when your about to shit your pants, cause going over 100 mph on any thing let alone 240 centimeter sticks is SCARY

Would it be more useful to drop your poles after you're done pushing and put your hands behind your back

Your right,theweirdkone has never moved faster than 7 mph and that was from his couch to the shitter. He has no idea how hard is is to hold a tuck @ 100mph.The event was @ Alpengolow ski lodge in Anchorage Alaska
