  • Hi there, I just wanted to know what I'm supposed to be seeing here. Don't want to jump in and criticise as I'm sure I'm missing the point. But why aren't the horses prepared a little more so they don't have to freak out in the stalls? Obviously this doesn't show all of the work your doing so Im probably not seeing the whole picture. Thanks! : )

  • They are all prepared for the gates. Almost all of these horse have raced and haven't been a problem until something sets them off. This is what we have to go through to bring them back to racing. It could happen to any horse no matter how prepared.

  • wow ur job is really dangerous

has any1 died being squished when the horse rears?

  • yes, I'd say so..

  • Hey endo, do you ever watch other trainer video's "horseproblems" from austraila has some interesting stuff.

  • Yes, HP and I share trade secrets every now and again..

  • Not much difference between this and holding back a hot QH barrel horse behind arena gates! Have you ever done any barrel racing? Those animals can go really nuts! Thats quite a sport too!

  • This is really amazing :) I would love to have that job, even if i got hurt. To bad I am so darn tall lol.

  • This is racing Ferraris with a mind....or Formula 1, injuries and accidents do happen. Not quite Alice In Wonderland I guess. Ha

  • Please tell me that blindfolding the horse and trying to drag it into the stall wasn't your idea. Gee, the horse is scared, let's simulate a predator situation. That'll help!

  • cool, thanks for the reply! I guess with all sports specific training the horse suffers at some point. Thanks for posting the video..and keep up the good work!

  • wow, that is SUCH a dangerous job... you got some ka-hoonies. I was trapped in a trailer once with a horse losing her mind.... scary shit... but, it happens SO fast, by the time its over, your going "holy crap, wha?" LOL.... its cool how well the music goes with the video too... super nice track too! do you think some kind of leg dividers would protect the neighbor horse's legs if one goes nuts in the stall? make is soft, so the horse can expand his stance if he has to, but, padded?

  • Thank you So much for sharing this. I own an OTTB and I Always wondered what it was like. Seeing this makes me wonder how my mare handled this. I Love your Videos!

  • They DO NOT pay jockies and barrier attendants enough money!! OMG. A gun to my head wouldn't get me on one of those... What a crazy ass job.
