nice take on this song, amazing how much talent is out there

I like Ronstadt's version a lot but I really enjoy the raw edges of this one. Just excellent from start to finish.

Interesting, reminds me of first hearing it in Benares (Varanasi) in India long long ago. Thanks for the pictures

I forgot to tell you that I like the video you put together. Is Richie Havens one of the vocalists maybe? I'm loving this version. The fiddle is a really great addition. So cool. What cd or album is this from, if you have the time down the road to let me know. Thanks again.

Fantastic. Super version. I haven't heard this. Who is it? Is it for a benefit? I love it. It really has a great edge. Thank you so much.
The singer is Jim Byrnes from his album "Fresh Horses". Lots of good blues on that album.
Ironically, I originally had done this video using Bob Dylan's cut from "Highway 61 Revisited" but unfortunately YouTube Blocked it for content copyright complaint so I took it down and replaced it with this Jim Byrne's version.
I also like Nina Simone's, Judy Collins', and Linda Ronstadt's vergins.
