I absolutely love my DVD. I've watched it four times since I opened it yesterday and I keep going through chapters as well. Thank you for this fantastic labor of love.

“An enthralling film that tells the story of a truly pivotal figure in 20th-century music whose madly eclectic achievements remain largely obscure. An essential view inside the wonders of creative genius, American-style.”

@SJW611 FANTASTIC! Thanks for the info; I'll add it to the Christmas list. And thanks to whomever's responsible for having the decency to make it region-free. Can't wait to see it!

@AcidDreaming Sorry for the delayed reply, but that tune is Baltimore Gas and Electric--it's on the Manhattan Research CD set, track 3, Disc 1. There are several versions on the 2 CD's in the set....

What's the song that starts at 3:28?

THE ELECTRONIUM!
I wish there was some video archives of raymond using the Electronium.... I want to watch him composing and performing on the machine very badly!

@emilshere--I wish there were too! In the film there is a sequence where you can hear some audio that is that process, and there is a layered photo animation sequence that goes along with that....

Years ago I had the idea of how great it would be to have a documentary of Raymond Scott done in Rotoscope with audio interviews animated!! -The sheer irony and originality of that would blow everyone away.
But it's probably beyond the means of all but the big players (Rotoscoping being so time consuming and labor intensive).
But I can't wait to see the film you as you've made it (and make all my friends and family see it too).
Thank you.

@MrChirpsky Sorry for the delayed reply, but there is one original animation sequence that was made for the film--it was donated by animator Scott SanGiacomo. I would have liked to do more, but as you point out animation (and rotoscoping) are expensive and time consuming.
