GTA Chinatown Wars PSP (News In Description)

The first screens of the upcoming psp port of the ds game: Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars.
As you can see the graphics and lighting effects have been improved but it's still the same game as before, just with a few more missions.
I personally am very disappointed, considering the psp has far greater capabilities than ds. The game is amazing for ds standards but up against the many fantastic psp titles, it really doesn't fit in.

NEW FEATURES:
The psp version keeps the celshading but because the resolution is better, the edges/lines aren't as large or clumsy as the DS version. It seems they aimed for a slightly more realistic look.

Chinatown Wars PSP was engineered to allow players to keep their hands in constant contact with the PSP. No reaching for another control instrument for this game as the analog nub gives you control in the minigames (which pop up in a corner of the screen

The map is almost unchanged except for the fact that it features widescreen with better textures, sharper resolution and improved lighting

The core gameplay is the same as the ds version but interface tweaks enable the player to throw grenades while still maintaining control of their car, etc.

There is also the presence of the mini-map on the same screen as the one your character or car is on.

New rampage and other variations on Chinatown Wars' side missions have been programmed for the PSP release.

Music has also been revamped, with the PSP's higher spec audio allowing Rockstar Leeds to uncompress the original DS game's music, making it both clearer and richer.

Seven new radio stations will provide a total of over 100 minutes of new music for the PSP game

Rockstar have given the psp version "dynamic real-time lighting" and "bloom self-shadowing".

lol I've got it but really this kind of game doesn't appeal to me. It did 9 years back or whatever but I think that the change to full sandbox, full 3D, fully rotatable camera gta games are the best.

Why are you all talking about it not living up to the LCS and VCS its not trying to live up to it, this is a game if you liked GTA 1 or 2 and those games were OSSIM!

lol dude, they were made in the 1990's, they were games that got be into gaming as a child. It had its time but with todays technology I expect gta's to progress!

Should have fixed the graphics. PSP can handle much more than that. And make a chase view, top down is so GTA 1.

i just love the gps, the classic top down view

buying weapons online,the dealing mini game.... i just LOVE this game

i completed it on 2 memory sticks without cheats!!!

they should do London wars or mexico war next

with the same view no progress please not for me

the graphic on the ds is realy bad i have a psp and a itouch and on both devices they have a better graphic but its my favorite game i got 100% without cheats
