SO TIRED. Good grief, it's ridiculous. This video is all over the place; so disjointed and scrambled, I ramble more than usual, I act like a spaz. I do apologise :( I get like this when I'm so tired, and I explain WHY I'm more tired than usual at the beginning of the video, ugh. Also, please do let me know which camera angle is better; from the top of the laptop (what I've been using) or from beside the laptop (like this one).

Aaaand now for an excerpt:

----

"Everyone is quiet," Felipe reported, his voice lowered. It was something of a challenge to hear him over the wet drone of the rain as it pounded the earth. "The storm unsettles them, I suspect."

"That I can understand," Cole sympathised in little more than a murmur, narrowed eyes scanning the thick darkness that was lanced with those drenching downward slices from above. "Something feels wrong." His head shook softly from side to side; a hand lifted to graze briefly over the side of his jaw and the short hair there, a thoughtful gesture that was more subconscious than anything else. Cole did not realise what he was doing, not even when his hand lowered again. Instead, without saying a word, only a second silent shake of his head, he stepped out from under the shelter of the overhang and into the downpour. Felipe half-formed his name to summon him back but no doubt realised the futility, coming up short with a sigh that the older male heard even with the rain beating down mercilessly around him.

His clothes hugged uncomfortably to his frame, every scrap of material saturated, leaving him feeling soaked right through. His hair lay flat atop his head, streaming small, numerous rivers down his face to run from his jaw and drip from his chin. Water slid down the back of his neck in icy lines but he did not feel any of it. Not even when he shivered -- even the endurance of a werewolf could be overcome by a fierce storm and icy rain -- did he take his eyes from the looming blackness beyond the garden and the stretch of land that led out beyond it. Cole was rooted to the spot, staring out into the darkness, eyes narrowed and focused beyond what any mortal would even be able to imagine in such horrendous conditions.

Behind him, Felipe called his name. Even Sofia attempted to summon him.

Cole continued to stare, something in his gut anchoring him and refusing to let him move. He stared, minute after minute, never wavering.

Finally, he saw it.

Yes. I have a cliff-hanger in my EXCERPT. I'm so awful :D And now, until tomorrow, I will bid you all farewell and wish you all luck on your own novels. HEARTS!

  • haha you're spazzy! it's entertaining :)

camera angles: I think it's about the same, and at this point I'm used to the other one, so I guess that's what I'd prefer :)

  • I am such a spaz, it would be embarrassing if I didn't make myself laugh, I suppose :( Not necessarily in a good way, either. Siiigh.

Thanks for the input! :D I'll go back to the camera sitting on top of the laptop tomorrow, in that case <3
