  • Good tyre selection, get it in the right gear, then its down to the driver to keep it moving, dont stop even if you run over your granny or you will get stuck. Landrover Defenders were first produced in 1947. 70% are still running today. I think that says it all. Thanks for your comments.

  • thumbs up, if you hate the gay Priest ad before this video..

  • stopglobalswarming, british engineering is the answer, sadly not enough good engineers left now to produce more things like the landy.

  • Hiya there Russ.

  • Awesome channel, now come see ours....

  • Well, no one is gayer than France. I think we can agree on that.

  • Defenders didn't come around until later. The 1947 model you speak of is the series 1, then came the series 2, the defender is pretty much a continuation of that, in a more modern form. The range rover, free lander* and disco are their children. Nice video. Defenders are incredibly tough. I know of one that has done 500,000 miles, off road every day. nearly 20 years old, nothing gone wrong with it. Indestructible things they are.

    *worst landie ever.

  • The snorkel takes air in for the engine to burn, its not an exhaust.

  • class video, would love a go but I think it would end up in a 999 special on tv. Long live the Landy!

  • Will the fenders clear standard or homemade tire chains?
