STORY IN HERE!
Joes POV:
I just sat there, staring into her dark eyes. How do you respond when someone tells you they are dying? Especially someone you barely know, someone you literally just met? I said the first thing that came to my mind. "Thats sucks." And I immediately regretted it.
"Oh my God, Demi that came out wrong. Im really sorry, youll get a heart, and I know it. Youre young; you have priority, dont you?"I said, hopeful.
"Its okay Joseph. I didnt mean to tell you, youre a complete stranger. I just feel so alone sometimes, you know? Its like, no one really understands me. My mother only cares about keeping me alive, which of course is okay, but she never thinks about what I want. And even if I can get a heart I dont want to be sitting around this damn hospital waiting for a miracle to happen. I want to live."
My heart ached for her. This young girl was dying right before my eyes. I reached out and put my hand over hers, feeling it was cold.
"You're cold, Demi. Do you want my jacket?"
"No, but thanks Joseph. Its just some side effects." She responded with a tiny smile.
"Oh. You can call me Joe by the way, everyone does."
"I like Joseph. And Im not everyone. But I have to go, I have to get some blood drawn." I winced at the word blood coming from her lips.
"You dont like blood Im guessing?"
"Hate it. Want me to go with you though?"
"You dont have to Joseph."
"I know. I want to." I took her tray and mine and brought them over to the trash can, placing them on top. "Lets go." I said holding her bag for her. She grabbed it from me harshly.
"I know you're just trying to be nice and all, but this is exactly why I didn't want to tell you about my heart. I don't have two broken arms Joseph, I can carry my own damn bag. I don't need any special treatment."
I looked back at her, feeling stupid. "Sorry"
She took a deep breath, "Its alright." We continued walking until we reached the exam room.
Demis POV:
The needle pricked me but it didnt even phase me. Ive gotten so use to it. I could see Joseph wincing again. "Look away, Joseph."He did, I didnt notice until now but he was holding my hand. I was about to say that getting my blood drawn didnt hurt at all but I was afraid he would let go.
[A few minutes later]
Nurse: All done, Demetria.
"Thank you." Joe and I walk out of the exam room and begin walking to the waiting from of the hospital. I really wanted to tell him. He could tell there was something on my mind.
"Demi, whats up?"
"Its nothing, really."
"Just tell me."
"Well first tell me why youre here and then I can decide whether or not I want to explain"
"Okay. My mother thinks Im suicidal I guess. She says that because my brother and his friends are popular, then my not being popular is an issue and there is obviously something wrong with me. She doesnt understand why I dont have a girlfriend, why I sit at home reading and playing the guitar. She just doesnt get it."
"Get what?" I responded as we sat down on a bench.
"Get that I despise people like the—You dont even recognize me do you?"
My eyebrows knitted together, trying to place him. "What do you mean?"
"No, no. Its alright I didnt recognize you either. Not until just now. Im Nicks brother."
Oh my God. It was all coming into place. I hadnt been to school on a regular basis in so long that I completely forgot. "Im so sorry, its just..Ive been really busy and I just"
"No, seriously Demi dont worry about anything, youve never given me trouble before."
I put my hand over his, now.
"Joseph?"
"Yes?"
"I want to fall in love, before I die."

I have a blood disorder and i have to get my blood taken all the time, and seriously i am like used to it, the nurses even take my blood when im asleep and i dont feel anything at all anymore. its crazy. hahaha.

NO!!! Now, you are all mushy mushy and later on with the story, Demi suddenly dies! You are like "Hell yeah! I am evil. I am evil, DIE DEMI DIE!!!" You are soooo bad.... and EVIL.
