IMPORTANT! READ:
In 1980, Ozzy released his first solo album, Blizzard of Ozz. His band consisted of himself on vocals, Randy Rhoads on guitar, Bob Daisley on Bass, and Lee Kerslake on drums. In 1995, it was released on CD for the first time, untampered with. Then in 2002, it was released again, only with rerecorded bass and drum parts for some type of legal reason by two totally different musicians. The 2002 version ruined the original album and unfortunatly, is the only one really sold in stores today. So chances are if you own this CD and bought it recently, you have the crap rerecorded bass and drum version of this classic album. The new musicians just couldn't hold up to the skill, slickness and nostalgia that Bob Daisley and Lee Kershlake had. The rerecording makes the album seem quite awkward and is all around just bad.

If you're looking to buy this classic album on CD, track down the 1995 version, the one you are hearing right now, you can distinctly recognize it if you see it in stores or online because the original cover in shrunken down and OZZY written very largely down the right side, as seen in the picture. If the cover of the CD is just the original cover, then its the 2002 version. (Most will also have a label telling you the bass and drums have been rerecorded). But trust me, it sounds awful.

This is one of the greatest heavy metal albums of all time..period...in its original state. Be careful, Ozzy's second classic also has this problem of rerecording and his third album was remixed. So if you're buying Ozzy's BLIZZARD OF OZZ, DIARY OF A MADMAN, or BARK AT THE MOON, buy the 1995 releases, not the 2002 ones. Remember, cover shrunken down in the middle and OZZY written really big on the right side.

  • Great song.

  • Apparently Bob Daisley wrote it about Ozzy and his substance abuse problems

  • wOW, zAKK replaced the original vocals hahaha

  • Ozzy and his greed-whore wife are nothing to me anymore after they pulled this bullshit with the new tracks. So, I will never again consider myself an "Ozzy fan"...but more of a fan of the absolutely incredible bands he managed to put together over the years. Thank you Randy Rhoads!

  • @Buff99ca It's about Bon Scott ( AC/DC lead singer.)

  • @CloudzProductions

    We'll agree to disagree. Ozzy never wrote lyrics in Black Sabbath (Geezer did) and he didn't as a solo artist either (Bob Daisley wrote them up until No More Tears).

    @AlexJasso100

    Am I sure? Absolutely. I asked the man who wrote the lyrics himself, Bob Daisley. He's on Facebook and will gladly share if you want. He's also coming out with a book this year that will talk about his tumultuous time dealing with Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne

  • @Buff99ca You sure? I heard Someone in the band (not sure) wrote it for AC/DC's lead singer who had died of alcohol abuse or something

  • @pinkmullet4 no I heard about the remaster, but to me it sounds almost exactly the same. plus, in the booklet for the remastered CD, it shows the original album information. why does it matter how old your comment is?

  • @SchecterManiac You never heard about Ozzy re-releasing a terrible remaster of this album so that he never had to pay the original band members anything and then taking their names off of the credits of the remaster? he has said in multiple interviews that he wrote this song and others from this album with randy when he didn't. I'm here because I'm a big fan of Randy Rhoads, Bob Daisly and Lee Kerslake, the people who WROTE THE ALBUM, and also because you responded to my 4 month old comment.

  • @pinkmullet4 wait wait wait you say I Am Ozzy is a great book, yet you also say you hate Ozzy? and if you hate him so much, why are you here? just to be a douchebag? where are you getting these notions of Ozzy taking all the credit for albums, bands, and genres? who did he sue other than Tony?

  • @SchecterManiac because in the book infers that he wrote this song with randy when that's not true, he tried to take all the credit for writing this album when it first came out. Ozzy Osborne is a no talent hack who hasn't done anything but sing terribly and ride off the talent of other people. He took credit for black sabbath and creating heavy metal all the while suing his band mates and fucking them out of credit and cash and using his bitch wife as a scapegoat.
