Jaidev composed music for some of the finest poems written in Hindi and Urdu. These were telecast in a Doordarshan programme (Amrita). Two of Mahadevi Verma poems sung by Asha Bhosle were later released in Suranjali. Others are just not available. In case music lover has those numbers please upload.

Jaidev had two distinct phases. The output in the first was based on classical AND western. This was the time when he composed some hugely popular songs. The second phase was devoted to good poetry and very difficult musical pieces. He also based some of his songs on folk, the best example is Tu chanda main chandni (Mand of Western Rajasthan). This phase was more appreciated by connoiseurs.
