I really hope that people stop arguing (or fighting) here. I feel bad to make issue with my kimbap video. PLEASE ~~~ Let's have peace.

Ingredients
(The First Kimbap: Normal Kimbap)
Yield: 10 Kimbaps
Main:
10 Sheets Dried Seaweed,
5 Crab Sticks, 10 Pieces Ham,
1 Seedless Cucumber,
10 Pieces Pickled Radish(Danmooji),
5 Eggs, 7~8 Bowls of Cooked Rice

For the Rice:
1 tsp Salt
1 1/2 Tbsp Sesame Oil
1 1/2 Tbsp Olive Oil
1/2 Tbsp Sesame Seeds

(The Second Kimbap: Beef Kimbap)
Yield: 10 Beef Kimbaps
Main:
10 Sheets Dried Seaweed,
1 Cup Ground Beef, 9 Oz Spinich,
1 Carrot, 20 Pieces Burdock Root,
5 Eggs, 7~8 Bowls Cooked Rice

For the Rice:
Same with the first Kimbap

For the Beef:
1 Green Onion, 1 Tbsp Garlic,
1 1/2 Tbsp Soy Sauce, 1 Tbsp Sugar,
1/2 Tbsp Cooking Wine,
1 tsp Sesame Oil, 1/8 Black Pepper

For this video....
Artist: 자두 (Ja-doo)
Songs: 바람아 불어라 / 김밥

My secret for kimbap is that all of the ingredients have same size, because that will help make the kimbop look more delicious and taste better.

* After boiling the spinach, rinse it in cold water, and squeeze the water out of the spinach.
(Sorry I forgot to mention this on the video. )

  • hi for the rice, what kind of rice do you use? Thanks! (: Can I use normal rice( which means non-korean rice because I dont live in Korea) ?

  • @TheHeyLyn23

It should be short grain rice... (or called sushi rice too..) If it's long .. pluffy rice.. the rice will not stick together..and will come out.. or fall apart when you roll or cut the kimbap..

  • Im a vegetarian, but this looks sooo good! Can I substitute the meat with something else? ^^

  • @Raoulirshan

Maybe you can fry some kind of mushroom you like.. how about.. shitake mushroom ?? (usually mushroom has lots of liquid in it when you cook.. ) .. so soak the shitake mushroom in water..and squeeze out the water..and finely chop..and marinate withe the sauce i used for the beef..and fry the mushroom and use like the meat filling.. ^^

  • This kimbap is delicious!...and I have so much pickled radish left over xP What should I make out of it?

  • @j502009

I have a side-dish using pickled radish on my blog.. please check it out ^^

  • Aeri posted a video about Kimbap. Please have respect, and stop bringing up issues that have nothing to do with the video. I appreciate Aeri making her videos she is kind and very sweet and we should be privileged that she is taking the time to make videos and teach us on how to make amazing food. = )

  • I really like this recipe!!! I think what people do not understand is that everyone some how or some way makes kimbap or sushi differently so fighting over a recipe that has so many different ways in all of Asia it is ignorant to argue. They are all good just pop one in your mouth and go on with your day!

  • Since when Makizushi became Korean food?? Are you kidding me?

  • Haa-ha, I came in here for just the recipe, but am enjoying all the comments, too. It's sad that we Asians fight so much. Pakistan-India-Bangladesh is always at war. China-Taiwan-Korea-Japan with historical tensions. Laos-Cambodia-Vietnam learning from war. The winner are White people, like U.S., which have army bases all over Asia. US enjoys us fighting so it can control us and our resources. Stop fighting. Stand together and get rid of Yankee Army from Asian soil.

When did kimbap come to Korea? Where did kimbap come to Korea from?
