A historic march took place in Washington, D.C. on Sept. 23, 2006, preceded by a press conference on Sept. 21. More than 600 people marched through the streets of Washington, starting at the Justice Department and stopping at the gates of the White House, demanding that George Bush free the Cuban Five and extradite the terrorist Luis Posada Carriles. @anaelena65 Most people in countries from the global south would gladly change their democracy(freedom to dream they could buy things that in most cases they wont; and freedom to choose people that they feel don’t represent them) for some kind of “Castro-Cuban dictatorship”. Have you ever wondered what would happen if USA give the rest of Latin-Americans the same advantages that Cubans receive(instant residence if you didn’t knew)?

@anaelena65 Guess what, this guys are heroes and should be treated as heroes. Since their unfair arrest for infiltrating in terrorist organizations in Miami and reporting them to USA authorities(they didn’t spy the cia, fbi or whatever) the terrorist attacks have at least stopped. The death toll of terrorism against people in Cuba(tourists were targeted also) ascend to 3 thousand deaths.

I'm for letting the Cuban 5 go back to Cuba as I don't think they should be here in the US wasting tax money. But I find it amusing that so many people can get so worked up for these "poor five men" who would receive a heroes welcome in Cuba by Castro & live the Fidelista elite life while the Cuban people live under oppression and injustices. Yet Cuba is painted as a paradise with Castro standing up against the evil US empire & the oppression is easily overlooked. I would laugh were it not sad

The Five should be freed because they did not spy on the USA but on anti-Cuban terrorists groups in the USA. At worst they were guilty of not being registered as foreign agents. The harsh sentences they received and the terrible treatment given them and their families are another blemish on the ever-more-tarnished reputation of the USA. The conviction and sentences were the natural result of conducting the trial in biased Miami. Only in (hypocritical) America!
