I think they were taken in the 80's, The Town centre is so different now :D

Welwyn is a bit like a picture an artist cant get right these days, they keep changing it bit by bit and then they will realise its ruined , only have too look at Sainsburys to relate to that , why the hell do you need a giant supermarket in a town centre most of us go out of town for such things these days right ?

@MummyKate13 you are right there Kate why are all the fun bits fenced off now ? The paddling bit under the bridge fenced off/ the bit where you could feed the fish and ducks fenced off .........its insane its WHDC . How did we survive all these perils as kids ? lol

I do not live WGC but I think it's great city.I've seen pictures on google earth - no council blocks only houses and gardens and a lot green belts. It is how every town or city should look like . Some of the streets I've seen( High Grove, Valley Road) are great- long rows of georgian style houses.

i think Welwyn garden city is still nice, probably not as much as it used to be but its still a lot better that Hatfield and Stevenage.

the trainstation were it is now wernt there it was further in.. the howard center became bigger and if you look at the howard centre from the frount there are like 2 slip roads on each side.. that used to be the bus station lool

they make welwyn look nice here now its a shithole with crackheads everywere an bare fights it aint no nice place believe me
