@chevv08baby sorry bro. The C5Z06 is right around 3150 in weight. A base C6 is just under 3300lbs.

Well remember, the Base C6 has about 300ish lbs more vs the C6 Z06, now the C5Z is very light, like in 2900 lbs range, But the C6Z/ZR1 are on a new new frame design, fatter tires, better shocks, But C6/Z51 have a different frame so yeah C5Z handles better, As far as Nordschleife times, the 08 ZR1 did it in 7:19.63, The 11 C6Z Z07 package did it in 7:22.68, so With the new 2012 ZR1 with the new tires will get the time down 4 or more seconds off its time.

@chevv08baby What do you mean handling is a different story, The C5Z out handles all the C6's besides the C6Z and C6 ZR1 which it is very close to. Even a C6 with the Z51 handling package doesnt out handle a stock C5Z, This is a known fact just look all over the Corvetteforum. A stock C5Z did the nuremburg did 7:56 and a C6 Z51 did a 7:59 with the same driver "Dave Hill" while a base C6 was a 8:28. Shit a new ZR1 did a 7:44 just check out the nuremburg wiki car times. A base C5 did a 8:40

@chevv08baby Handling are you talking between the c5z & c6z or c5z & c6 because the c6 and c5z are even in handling if anything the edge going to the c5z. These cars are about even in almost every respect stock for stock. Now c6z and c6zR1 that's another story. At the end of the day all these corvettes can handle pretty good.

@craig1h Now remember too the C5 Z06 is a little lighter then a C6 Z06 by 14 lbs, so the C6 Z51 that is about 200ish lbs more and it only having 25 more hp, is why C5 Z06 can beat the C6, but handling is a different story.
