I heard a chirping sound from the trees in the back garden and found this nest.
Mum & dad black bird have been busy for the last week or so feeding this little chap. In this video we take a peak.
Sadly, the same evening one of the many well fed filthy cats attacked the nest! with great bravery, other birds helped drive the cat off! I got out there quick as I could and found the baby on the lawn! I ushered him to the side, but I fear for him, he is in great danger now. At the moment he has hidden between two fences! should be safe for a while anyway.
How unfair that simply for sport his life is perilous now :-(

  • You are good, Mike, no doubt about it!

    Hi, Ian :)

  • @gabbysbuddy Hi Ian, I know that is what people say but I don't agree! the cat is a domestic intruder, well fed and sheltered, it has every advantage. The birds are indeed nature with more than enough predators to worry about. Makes it worse that this cat came into my garden to carry out its slaughter, makes a change from leaving smelly mess in the garden I guess :-(

  • I know Mike, but that's nature
