Please see the video of "The Wining Burma Democratisation Strategy" of Burma Democratic Concern (BDC) voted by the whole Burmese Community in UK. Thank you very much for all your support.
The strategy was presented by Myo Thein, the Director of the Burma Democratic Concern (BDC) on 8th August 2010 to commemorate the "22nd Anniversary of 8.8.88 Mass Uprising" in Burma in which thousands of peaceful demonstrators were brutally gunned down by the military leading towards toppling "Totalitarian Regime led by Gen. Ne Win".
The ceremony was held in London, UK at the SOAS University organised by the whole Burmese Community in UK. One of the interesting program is competition on Burma Democratisation Strategy in which Burma Democratic Concern (BDC) Strategy won the first and best support of the public. Thank you very much all the friends on your unwavering support. The above video is only summary 5 mins one and more longer video 20 mins will be followed very soon.
The following is the English translated script of the Myo Thein's speech.
I believe in People Power and I believe that Mass Movement would be the key for the democratization of Burma.
Mass, Media and Money (3Ms) are very important three main factors for the realization of democratization of Burma.
Media plays a decisive role for the success of the most of the revolutions throughout the history.
We must encourage emerging more Burma Democratic media in our movement as well as flourishing the existing ones so that we will be enabled to use the media as a tool for the implementation of democratization of Burma.
Earning to have the support of the public is very important for the democratization of Burma. If we imagine that the Burma democracy movement as a train moving towards its goals, then we must encourage the public to get more on the train to work achieving our goals as well as encouraging them not to give up the struggle.
We must have the mass support for the democratization of Burma.
We must have money. We must find money to support people inside Burma as well as people in exile working for democratization of Burma.
You know what happen inside Burma, it is really the sad story. The activists wanted to use the internet but they don't have money to pay for it, they wanted to go to the places where they can use free internet but they don't have bus fares to get there and they are doing politics with empty stomachs.
We must establish Civil Society Organizations inside Burma.
Find the money and get ready to go inside Burma.
We must be getting ready for the mass movement by the time three sons (Buddhist Monks, Students and Soldiers) of Burma work together harmoniously to restore democracy in Burma.
We have the leaders such as Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, students' leaders who can give leadership when necessary.
Mass movement with the true leadership, then we can be ready for the end game; power, power to the people.
POWER TO THE PEOPLE.
All of us must have the confidence and beliefs that "Yes I Can, Yes We Can, You Are Responsible, I'm Responsible, Everyone Is Responsible", to save our country.
Movement inside Burma and in exile must be synchronized. Leaders, leadership and mass movement must be harmonized.
We must by-pass UNSC so as to avoid China and Russia veto. We want the international governments from UNGA to endorse Aung San Suu Kyi led elected leaders of 1990 elections as the legitimate government of Burma if the one should be formed, which is effectively by-passing the possible use of veto by China or Russia at the UNSC.
The main point here is revolution of the spirit; our mind, our will and our passion for Burma. Try working together with everyone working for Burma's freedom and avoid stabbing behind each other. Make unity in action but not only by words.
Then, YES WE CAN, WE WILL WIN. END GAME. POWER TO THE PEOPLE.
Burma will be free very soon WHEN WE CAN SAVE OURSELVES.
