Here's the first two maps of the first episode of Classic Doom for the XBox. Classic Doom was an extra for Doom 3: Limited Collector's Edition as well as Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil.

Essentially an emulation of the PC versions, which would be fine. EXCEPT, it has some really bad key flaws that puts this one behind almost all others.

More on this when I review the games. Soon...

  • which is better 360 or original xbox port of this game?

  • The 360 port by far. The XBox one has two problems: Theres a bug that shows same sky for EVERY episode, and cheats can be accidentally inputted since you hold down run and press the face buttons to input them. VERY annoying.

  • @elbryan42 well can understand complaining about the cheat system but the sky isnt such a BIG issue

  • For me, I think it is. Having a normal episode 1 sky in hell really ruins the atmosphere. The thing is, they didn't fix the bug when they included Classic Doom in Ressurection of Evil. It's a lazy port. It seems to me that they just plopped it on the Doom 3 disc and didn't care past that point.

The 360 version is awesome in every way.

  • What flaws are there in this version?

  • There's three flaws with this version. First, all the skies in Ultimate Doom are the same as episode 1. Second, the Super Shotgun in Doom 2 is the last in the weapon order instead of between the Shotgun and the Chaingun.

Third (and the worst by far), you activate cheats by holding run and pressing buttons. Which means that you ACCIDENTALLY activate cheats when you don't want to. Unless you let go of run every time you change weapons, open doors, etc. Lame. Totally kills the gameplay.

  • Impressive. The MIDI is very very accurate. Very faithful to the PC original.

  • At 8:11 I heard a Cyberdemon...what's up with that, there is no Cyberdemon in Level 2.

  • @musicalbeast no this came out before slayer (1993)

  • This Riff could be by Slayer!

  • @killkenny5000 Then, stay away from 32X doom.

  • @cameron20101000 they made the cheats and put it in a code and see what cheats code you want on your controller

it does not have to do with the BUGS

BUGS are like failed textures and never added in the games...if you look at doom on sega 32x on map11 they accidently forgot to put a texture wall on one of the boxes which that is known as a BUG (failed textures and architecture)

  • @killkenny5000 the cheats are along with the bugs?

  • @cameron20101000 no the cheats too

cheats are easy you can accidently activate one

for example: hold the running button and press A 4 times

and half the doom players always use the running button

    including ME

  • @killkenny5000 the sound bug and sky bug are the problems with Doom on xbox?

  • @cameron20101000 in order to get DOOM 1 and 2 on original xbox is by getting DOOM 3 collectors edition and then go to classic doom

    what sucks about it is

1.they 2 bugs a static sound bug and a sky bug

2.extremely easy cheats (so easy you accidently activate one :O)

  • @killkenny5000 what shitty things?
