Mr. Clinton, you are wrong. The Northridge Quake was NOT the most damaging earthquake on the continent. Alaska was much more devastating.

Wrong. The Alaska earthquake you refer to was much larger, but that's not what he said. He said most Damaging. Meaning to human beings. There are over 13 million people in southern California. That means a whole lot of buildings, houses, freeways, schools, etc.
Alaska doesn't even have one million people in the whole state.
