youve probably got this before, but NEVER use the kill switch. only in an emergency. they break very easily and cost quite a bit to fix. i always leave mine in the on position. i used to turn my bike off with the kill switch until i found out the hard way lol. but that goes for all bikes though, not just the ninja. anyway, nice bike :)

It sounds good idle, then when rev its got that 250 engine sound to it. But I would have prob. done the same thing to get rid of that stock moped sounding one that comes on the 250s. Good job. I ride a GSXR 600 with a D&D and dont see the need to ever go 1000.

got an 09 for 2700 with saddles and all. only 800 miles on it. never laid down. Sadly, after 3 blocks it was laid down...in the trailer it was being towed in ><
