Hey me and my friend are just getting done rebuilding his ka24de. Its all stock but we have problems with the timing, your explanation clears this up pretty good. So great video, but 1 questions.
When everything is lined up perfectly like yours, I notice that there is a lot of slack in between the cam sprockets. Is that slack ok? Will it just go away, or what can I do about it?
@PrettyBoy2142 My video does not show the upper timing tensioner installed. If you notice on the passenger side (intake side) of the engine, there is a spot for a tensioner. You should have one there to remove all slack in the upper timing chain.
There is also a tensioner fro the lower timing chain. The lower timing chain tensioner pushes on that big arm also on the same side.
Refer to Factory service manual or 240sxtechdvds-org for more info on the KA engine.
