Marlon Brando was the KING of line-readings. He had some of the most ridiculous lines in movie history to read, if you pay attention to his monologues in some movies, but instead of being cheesy, he makes them mesmerizing. Especially as Jor-El and as Kurtz in Apocalypse Now.
