"Some Other Day" - A Tribute by John Eidsvoog

"Some Other Day" is a song I wrote in memory of my father and sang at his memorial service on June 25, 2009 (the day Michael Jackson died).

I always knew that you would leave,
just not today.
I'd find a way to tell you things,
some other day.

I've tossed the words around my head,
gotta be just right.
It's always strange how things can change,
overnight.

A simple thing can mean a lot,
maybe just a touch.
I knew I'd miss you when you went away,
didn't know how much.

I know it's crazy but I thought
I'd find the time to say
all the things you meant to me,
some other day.
