It doesn't really matter that you can't land or fuel (although, I personally find refuelling one of the easiest things in the game. You just come to a target and kill it with missles, land, fuel, kill, land....
It's mind-numbingly repetitive, the only way I actually beat it myself was with an emulator and save states...and x4 speed in some spots to speed up the boredom.
Landing the plane is a bitch, but it's possible with tons of fucking practice. This game doesn't fuck around.
