GWR Christmas Cracker Steam Gala - Saturday 29.12.07

Here are a few videos from my day trip to the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway. Me and GJDobbzy went up for this steam weekend and enjoyed it to the full. There is a suprise at the end!

Locos in action -

| BR 2-10-0 Standard Class 9 (9F) 92203 'Black Prince'

The plan we did -

1030 - Cheltenham to Winchcombe hauled by 3440
1241 - Winchcombe to Toddington hauled by 65462
1300 - Toddington to Cheltenham hauled by 7903
1345 - Cheltenham to Toddington hauled by 3440
1510 - Toddington to Cheltenham hauled by 3440

All but the last service, the locos were going backwards!

At the end a special, larger loco than seen before in this video!

Fair enuff mate, there has been quite alot of debate about what livery its been in i.e. BR green in 1993 and in apple green in 2000 - 2005. Personally I wouldnt really care much of what livery its in (even if it was in BR blue in 1948-9!) Its the locos themselves that count let alone liveries!

4472 isnt a waste of metal at all its a rather magnificent loco with a famous reputation, and a favourite of mine and my family's! Nothing wrong with that loco anyway

Yeah, If I can get the dates booked for time off work, also if a friend goes to we can travel up in his car.The last time we traveled by train it was crap because of the late running of trains from cornwall.
