"Ordinary People," by John Legend,the full version this time.
A cover song, on the soprano uke.

I apologize to anyone who has ever asked me for the chords- here they are!

This is highly simplified compared to John Legend's version on the piano, and it may not be entirely correct. It was also kind of a pain in the ass to figure out! It sounds right on the ukulele, anyway, but I haven't tried it on the guitar.

Very very good! Don't take this as wrong but I think if you doubled up on the strumming it would really accent the vocals as this song to mee has always been something that needs to fill you up and there is a lot of negative space in it right now.

That's a good idea actually, I've tried finger-picking it and that gets too complicated for me... plus it's harder to play loudly picking the strings. Thanks! And that is awesome that there's someone else out there who has tried it!

haha yea sorry meant to say I thought I was the only one to try this, glad I'm not alone!

Maybe once you get more comfortable strumming you could gradually increase elements of finger picking in? That's how I always approach it, the task is never too hard.

That is exactly the approach I am trying... I always need to train my fingers to do what they do before I can think about singing on top of it. Thanks again for the advice and encouragement!
