  • People still don't understand if we don;t keep the population of moose under control by hunting then the animals are only going to starve to death soo its alot easier to have the meat put to good use instead of letting all the moose die of starvation. smarten up for fuck sakes it gets me so angry to hear people say stopp killing these poor animals pleaseee ... its fucking rediculous

  • I think what people should do who don't hunt as well as some hunters, is to look at a states Dept. of Wildlife, F&G, WMA reports, etc. before making comments. As an environmental biologist and ecologist, I like to see as many facts and data as I can before commenting on anything. Hunting has promoted stabilized populations and growth of species through such things as the Pittman-Robertson Wildlife Restoration Act. "We" aren't just allowed to "kill" things any more and for good reason.

  • dude that was a pro airplane landing

  • awesome moose!!!

  • I think that moose hunting is the most awesome hunting exp. people will ever have, just this last moose hunting season me and my brother caught a huge moose with 3 anlters (coming off of one of the shovels another anlter was growing)! also its not just the anlters we are after its all that delicous red meat, i would even use a tag on that little caribou to make some caribou jerky

  • @langdon19 amen

No. The ecosystem keeps itself in check unless humans are there.

There will never be too many moose in places like this because of predators so there is no real reason to hunt them other than for fun.

  • @Mooseracks In Alaska its against the law to just take the trophy head and leave the body. Alaska law states ALL meat from big game needs to be preserved and packaged for human consumption. Violation of these law if caught are serious, especially for guides because in Alaska if you are with a guide they are ultimately responsible for following all game laws. So yes you are responsible for field stripping your meat, or hiring someone, and responsible for getting the meat out.

  • To anyone who ?'s shooting a moose from a boat. I have guided moose hunts in AK for 3 years and was a packer for 2 yrs prior. Sometimes the only way to get the meat out of there is with a boat. A moose's rear leg can weigh about 125 lbs. I have had to walk with that weight plus my rifle and a few provisions for MILES and it is rediculous. It is the law to get the meat out ON the bone in most areas of AK...the boat gets 100% of the meat out wich some of goes to Native villages, charity ect.

  • That is a great looking bull also...good to see that you TAKE ALL the meat. LOTS of people (pardon me for saying) like the guided hunts ONLY take head, horns and cape...

I get a few guiding services (whom we know quite well) call into our camp to say hello..and of course they are looking for that HUGH BULL...of Bear. When we call in on their camp, OFTEN there are horns ONLY!! WOW!!! this is something I have a hard time with as a hunter..

Thanks for charing this GREAT video

    Cheers

  • why? Alaskan Yukon Moose are the biggest moose in the world.
