i finally used a latch hook properly!! YAY! thanks to PrettiBoiShai for inspiring me to give the latch hook another try! now i'll use this to catch all those tray, bothersome hairs that i always seem to miss when i'm retightening. trust me, if i can do it, YOU can do it!
hey thanks for the vid. does this method work for all types of dreads? i have free handed dreads ( "tear and rip") and does this also tighten the whole dread?

@evelynlikesfood hi. i'm not sure what the tear and rip method is so i can't really answer. i tried looking it up, but wasn't too successful finding any results. sorry.

for my latchhook, i just used a jumbo paper clip and twisted it, then wrapped it with plumber's tape. Not to knock the purchase method, but my approach to locks is to be as natural as possible. Just wanted to let someone know how to save a few dollars.
- I feel pride in having fashioned my own tool to care for my locks.

good for you! i've said before in other videos that there are other ways to make latching tools youself and save a buck. MsButterfli, Meil001, and Pinky2d4 have all done videos on ways to make homemade tools.
