thanks for the nice words. much appreciated. i'll save my favorite logo for our response. i've been thinking about studio logos more after i saw your video where you describe some favorites. i like the old universal logo too. and the mgm logo. that could be my favorite, but i'm probably going to pick something weird (i think i have my pick already). i liked the title logo in drag me to hell. like at the end when "drag me to hell" comes on the screen, it looks perfect. great video!

i second your notion that wiseau films is awesome and cutting edge haha, but i'll have to pick something original as my pick. bruckheimer is a monster asshole so whatever he does turns my stomach. oh well. his logo is slick, though, i'll give you that.
Mine is probably the 1973-1990 version of the Universal logo with the MCA byline. Doesn't matter which aspect ratio version (There's one for 1:33 and 1:85 and a different one for 2:35). Drag Me to Hell used the 1963-1973 version in 2:35. Just like that MCA byline in that blocky font. No need for music, but it does go well with synths like in Prince of Darkness or Cat People.
My guilty pleasure is the 1983-1987 New Line logo seen on Xtro, Critters, and NOES 1, 2, and some versions of part 3.

That UA logo works best with the MGM/UA Communications logo as seen on Child's Play and Rain Man. I like how it goes into the trailer for Licence to Kill that's on the old Child's Play tape too. Love that synth bass that sounds like it was done on a Yamaha DX7.

Yeah, I love that music too. It suits that logo pretty well. You wanna know a story: In 1987 (I was seven yrs. old at the time), I saw Baby Boom in the theatre with my mom and when both those logos appeared on screen, I got goosebumps when the music started. The synth bass sounded really good on a dolby sound system. Not to mention that whole design had me intrigued. Good times!

Yeah, the one the MCA byline is the one I remember most. The 1:33 aspect ratio version is my choice favorite. The older widescreen version were both the globe fades in along with the Universal is pretty neat as well. But I prefer the zooming version because that's one I grew up with. Glad they brought it back for Drag Me Hell, in glorious widescreen nonetheless.

It's gotta be Wiseau-Films. I like Bruckheimer's where the bare tree gets hit with lightning then it immediately has leaves.
