@kkzxxx not only by germans, but brave latvian soldiers too.

Eh?
I can't see what this entertaining rant has to do with my comments about the probable effects of German internal propaganda by the closing stages of World War 2.
Have you by any chance ceased to take some medication prescribed for you?

@JimTLonW6 Slaves should read Slavs, that was a typo of mine. Anyway yes the Russians kicked the ass of Germans (mostly civilians) after the war in direct violation of the Geneva Convention and all known rules of war and did so without any kind of punishment in World court and who was to blame? The United States and more specifically FDR's Democratic Party who was only too happy to side with Communism. The cold war that followed wasted trillions of dollars but did liberals take responsibility? N

@JimTLonW6 That last sentence of yours is entirely correct but it says something negative about Communism and Slaves not National Socialism and Germans which is what you meant it to mean. Germany was able to advance technology more during war time than the Communist Soviet Union was during peace time even with help from the west. The Soviets had a massive display at Expo '67 in Canada that was so big no one could view it all but the only advancements came from spying on the West.

Interesting how these films make you think the Germans were winning at this stage of the war; however I don't think they actually fooled many people, certainly in Berlin it was recognised that defeat was increasingly likely; hence the Graffiti seen in Berlin after Stalingrad 'Enjoy the war, the peace will be much worse!"

For the historians.
Latvians like to think the Courland Pocket was the last resistance just a bit after Berlin fell.
It's possible the last bullet into a Barbarian skull, in the War, was shot by a Latvian.
many people dont know it but Courland was held by the germans until the end of the war.
