i always lose the siphon from the DIY Overflow. when the water level of the main tank is below the intake pipe of the over flow and get back above it, it doesnt restarts so i have to prime it again. so i assume that my siphon was lost.. do you ever get that problem or do you have a solution for it?

I have the same problem, you need a air line check valve and I am trying to look up how they work. They in the pipe where it goes from the tank to out, the over flow.

I caint find any good videos, no one is talking and I am pissed.

k so i dont get how the taller part of the pvc (where you prime it) works. How does it keep the flow going?

Pretty slick overflow... I drilled my tank but it doesn't have as much flow as I want so I'm gunna make a pvc overflow to use untill I feel like completely taking everything out of my reef tank again to drill a bigger hole.
