Aruni Bhatnagar, Ph.D., Professor of Medicine, the Smith & Lucille Gibson Chair in Medicine, Director, Diabetes and Obesity Center, and Distinguished University Scholar at The University of Louisville, presented "Environmental Cardiology: Air Pollution and Heart Disease" on April 25, 2013.
The talk focused on understanding the contribution of environmental factors to heart disease, assessing the impact of air pollution on cardiovascular disease risk, and evaluating the effects of air pollution on stem cells.
