Was the bombing of Hiroshima justified? World's leading expert on the Second World War, David Irving, answers. It was known the Japanese were desperate to surrender. The West wanted to keep Russia from the Kurile Islands. Talk in England 18 Sept 2009.

Some kind of propaganda device? See this US newsreel extract

  • The bombing of women & children makes one sick in the stomach. But the Japanese war machine would never give in, never ever.

  • @belinda2118 - why the sexism and ageism?

  • Truman was a freemason who did not go to church. I wonder if that affected his judgment. Why couldn't we have dropped the bomb in Tokyo Bay to scare the hell out of the Japanese? It seems to me that a true statesman such as John Kennedy would have found a better way to demonstrate this weapon. He did avoid nuclear war during the Cuban missile crisis and did not listen to the generals who wanted to bomb Cuba.

  • @Johnboy50011 - Johnboy, you haven't understood the issue. Nor does Irving. The 'atom bomb' was a hoax. So they couldn't demonstrate it!

  • Hiroshima , Nagasaki , Dresden , these where all justified this is the nature of war, if you attack me i will attack you , it's quite simple , if you attack the world and all of it's industrial might and wealth , it will come back at you , if you plague rape Russian women and children , then those advancing Russian soldiers on German soil will reek a same revenge , war is ugly , and it's much more ugly for the one who drawn first blood , these countries are still paying for their crimes today.

  • @firefox666moll - you're too stupid to understand the situation, so I won't waste time replying.

  • @michaelbyrnes2012 - it's not his posting; I'm certain he's too busy. The video just needs the volume turned up!

  • JESUS came to teach us mercy and forgiveness. What lesson of love could have been learned by destroying whole cities and burning babies alive. If we have no heart or are so afraid for ourselves that me miss the message of the CHRIST then winning the war by such means accomplishes little in the view of GOD. All are guilty that could have stopped the dropping of any atomic bomb weather on people or on the earth.

  • @blueshift5 - that's my own view, based on the latest research. Nothing to do with Irving. (Check e.g. 'Nuke Lies' video or some of mine).

  • What's with the little box claiming the atomic bombing might not have happened?

That just detracts from the credibility of David Irving's statements.
