If you couldnt tell by now, this was a complete joke by peter jackson. Baby motion cap? Kong fighting the nazi's? Mutated overly large bats?

It is smart of him to put this off until after The Hobbit. Rushed sequels spell disaster most of the time. Gives him more time to fine tune the scripts as well as makes the audience hungry for more (due to time).
The Hobbit will be great and so will Son of Kong when released.

@MegaKamandi supposly he might return to this after these two Hobbit movies. So Son of Kong is probably coming out in 2016/2017? Hopefully its worth the wait
