  • simon loves it

  • greens are so vital for general nutrition and health, they are the most important vegetable of all the fruits and vegetables. Lutein and xeazanthin have been shown to be absolutely critical to eye health. If kids don't love greens, make them green smoothies. They'll love those. If every kid in America was exposed to green smoothies, I absolutely believe the incidence of childhood diabetes would be cut in half at least!

  • If you have a homemade "green" smoothie you can share, we'd appreciate it. Not sure kids would like it but we promise to try it w/ our kids if you have a recipe or two!

  • LOL i liked that one

  • I'll also mail you a couple of quickread links on green smoothies for kids.

  • I actually just use about 4-5 bananas, a pound of kale (or any other leafy green) and a cup of blueberries, and some ground flaxseeds as well... I tell you, it looks horribly green but it's very delicious. But you know what, kids love eating gross-looking stuff, maybe serve the first one around Halloween :-). Once they taste it, they'll get addicted to it. Naturally, you do need a powerful blender but it's definitely a worthy investment.
