Rise of the Robots by Jim Murdoch.

Metropolis 4 security update, Friday Newjune 1st 3012: Heavy atmospheric contamination ... Lorus Depression ... storm conditions. No upload possible from craft L6 ... all contact lost ... repeat ... all contact lost.

Coton was the Service's best Decrypt man. Field Ops was definitely not his scene. When it was all over they picked up the pieces, and brought them back to Metropolis 4. They turned Coton into the planet's first human-brained bio-mechanical cyborg. And then they put him to work.

For the fourth millennium T1 Creda, the robots are in revolt. Controlled by the faceless female supervisor, droids all across the planet break their routines. From high in the sealed Electrocorp tower she issues the ultimate threat. Only Coton can stop her. Unless he decides to get his own body back first ...

RISE OF THE ROBOTS

A noveliszation based on the ground-breking computer and videogame Rise of the Robots from Mirage.
