This is probably a spiny-tailed lizard or "dhub", a rather prehistoric-looking fellow! It was about 3 feet long, looked very leathery but was still fairly young. This thing dashed across the 55C+ desert at the speed of light as I tried to get closer, and then disappeared in a hole. Crafty little critter! More Kuwait stuff at www.expatserviceskuwait.com

  • i see many of those in my work site at the oil refinery, lol. they are amazing and look just like mini dinosaurs.

  • i caught one of those last time i was in kuwait

  • bedouins catch these lizards and eat them....my dad used to chase them in his truck.
