Once upon a time I played this on my mac performa 6300. I've gotten past rome. It's all about clicking timing and placement on either challenge. Just hope your quicktime is up to snuff or it'll be jerky as hell (no pun) and it'll hiccup resulting in a death most the time. Even optimized the controls are too unrefined and hair trigger to be decent--not sure if this is on purpose. Never got past WWI because my handling of the controls sucked. Apparently later the gameplay is very broken.

Black Rain or Black Rayne?

@bobinator1992 Thanks for the compliment. I've often felt I could be either a proofreader or a video game tester, or both, because of how I tend to explore things.
I would like to make a walkthrough movie, thanks. Only problem is, I no longer have a copy of the game, as I had to leave it behind when I moved out of my parents' place. Maybe I can get a new one?

Man, that Satan is an retarded aborded feotus!...Hell is nothing compared to being in company of him!

@Kalaida I've seen a bit of Spaceship Warlock on Youtube, looks pretty interesting, even if it's even more low-budget than this. Seems to have a lot of the fake freedom that this game gives you, from what I've seen.
0:20 I got through the gauntlet before. To get past the axes you need to click in a different place, or at a different time, or something.
We never got the chance to see WWI France! Aw.

@OneWeirdDude Thank you very much for all the advice, it's quite appreciated. It appears you know quite a bit more about this game than I ever did, which makes me feel quite silly. I have no plans at the moment to return to this game, although I would like to do other weird, obscure FMV games.
Although... if you ask, I could tell you how to get this running for you so you could make your own LP, maybe. I'd love to watch. :3

Pepe Moreno has up in his bio that he worked on Rivers Of Dawn, "a dynamic story-based RPG game", and it was finished in 1996 but Virgin Interactive went bankrupt before it came out.
Man, what a frontier CD-ROM gaming was in 1994 or so...

@Funkyfox I figured it was some kind of movie or game that never made it anywhere. Didn't look all that great from what was probably the super-early footage of it, but eh. Pepe Moreno seemed like he did a lot of cool stuff. He did a Batman comic, you know. Sure, it was super ugly and was full of that kind of CGI you saw in that turkey thing. But still.
Batman.

I somehow managed to beat this game back in 94 or 95 (yeah, I probably had a lot of time in my hands). Now I've just tried it again and what a cheap bitch that gladiator is! All you do is keep clicking until your fingers are sore but he wears a shield so he always blocks your attacks and once you stop clicking *bang* you're dead. I hate this game!

@paulroxx I found out through a walkthrough that if you use the trident, you can beat the gladiator instantly by knocking his sword out of his hands. I don't really want to mess with this game any more, though. Not for a while. I'd rather find more weird adventure games like this, they're fun to explore, and they seem to be popular with you guys.
