@coventrygardens . Various people have translated this hymn from the original Welsh, with several variations of particular phrases. If one can generalise, then the Anglicans prefer 'Redeemer', while the non-conformists prefer 'Jehovah'. It is in recent Roman Catholic hymn books, and they use 'Jehovah'.

I thoroughly enjoyed this rendering. Good to see young people learning and obviously enjoying singing traditional hymns.

What a perfectly beautiful rendition. You can certainly tell that these high school children are focused and very much interested in making beautiful music. I am very extremely impressed. The positive influence this teacher has given to these kids will last the rest of their lives. Bravo and Amen!

My eyes are often drawn to the guy centre left wearing a blue shirt, singing bass.

He appears to truly "feel" it. He is accurately on the timing and emotionally involved. He makes me feel good because he is enjoying it.

I know it is invidious to pick out one person; but I do it as an example. The whole group and the beautiful sound they produce is lovely.

that's nice. i recenly heard the song sung in the original welsh. although i'm not from a welsh background, i like to hear songs in the original as well as english. seems that some english versions say, "guide me, o , thou great redeemer", and others say, "guide me, o, thou great jehovah". both versions are fine. i don't know which is the eldest version. also some versions make reference to welsh rugby----where they say "wales for ever" and "cymru am bith" instead of "bread of heaven".

I wonder if Tal realizes how many lives he's influenced? He was my teacher from 9th thru 12grade (over 40 years ago, and look at him!) and he drove me nuts. But when I had children, lessons I learned from him about committment, honor and hard work were passed on to my children. Bravo!
