  • Layne, I noticed you body structure is a lot like mine and I tend to lean forward quite a bit when I push upward on squats and my knees tend to buckle inward, is that necessarily a bad thing? People keep saying its because my hams and glutes are weaker than my quads creating an imbalance

  • there is a slight bit of tilt which i'm working on but if you keep your back arched it shouldn't be a problem.

I know darn well my hams and glutes aren't weaker than my quads so that's definintely not it lol

  • hey thanks everyone I appreciate the support. The chest is doing really well thanks. Well ahead of schedule! I'm taking it easy though, only adding a little bit of weight each week.

  • oh cool a video of a guy's shoulders while he's squatting.

no hate layne is an inspiration, just a bad video!

  • @14870 It's called lifting with your ego. The guy has more than enough knowledge, he's not oblivious, he probably just wants to impress other gym goers.

  • dat good morning

  • Heavy lift but poor form. Your back is almost parrallel to the floor at the bottom. Emphasize the back arch and keep the chest high. Don't be afraid to use less weight to improve form and decrease chances of serious injury

  • Hey Layne would you class your squat as a Low bar or High bar squat? I noticed you sit back alot but I thought the bar was in more of a high bar position. Do you believe Low bar is better for Glute/ Ham development?

    Cheers

  • @ikelleners have u ever had 455lbs on the back of your traps? thus u wouldnt know..

  • Layne you lean to far forward....

Strand up straight, and chest forward....

This is poor shape, no offence or anything....

  • @charlieDxtreme my mad pace is not as powerful as the mad stomp yet but I am working on it.

  • MAD STOMP FOR THE WIN, I have my own version I call the mad pace.
