An unfinished clip from ESB:Revisited showing the new approach to Cloud City. It still has a lot of work left to be done to it but it gives you a good idea of how the new shot will be like

  • Let me guess: the DVD menu was the inspiration, right?

  • @darthkurland yes.

  • Is this a whole new shot or a reuse of existing elements?

  • @ihlecreations Cloud city and one of the clouds are taken from the original matte painting but everything else are all new elements

  • Wow this is very similar to the terrible CGI done in the prequels. Quickly losing all interest in this with how often I am pulled right out of a scene with these awful "updates"

  • @CrimeFighter14 well i'm certainly not going to lose any sleep if you lose interest in this edit.

  • I don't get how a single guy can do so much better in his revision of an old movie than it's own creator a an entire company of professional effects technicians did in the Star Wars special editions... WHAT WERE THEY SMOKING?!

  • That's because Adywan doesn't f#ck them up by shoving in as much unnecessary CG crap as possible.

  • wath i dont get is that people hate when lucas change these movie but when this guy do it people like it

  • Город моей мечты *-*

  • @CrimeFighter14 "Teerible CIG from the prequels"?! Are you on drugs?!

  • I don't get what people don't like about this, it's amazing.

  • @cellkin8ta Are you joking dude? Re-watch Jurassic Park and T2 again and then tell me this. The effects were better back then because the pioneers hadn't retired back then. The reason to cut them slack was that they had to do all of this within a two year time period. The reason Adywan's work is good is that he has taken his time. ESB has/is taking well over a 1 1/2 to 2 years to complete ALONE. He and his crew have been working on ESB in the same time frame that ILM had to complete all three.

  • @plastique45 while Adywans versions are good and fun to look at, you have to cut LFL some amount of slack as the work they did in the mid 90's on the Special Editions, was at the stage where CGI wasn't as good as it is in 2011.

  • Man, I dig this!

    Seems very, very... smooth.
