Two robots discussing God from two different viewpoints. One believes. The other does not.
My blog: http://o0justnobody0o.blogspot.com/

Script:
1-Hi everyone
2-Welcome to our show!
1-I believe in God. Do you believe in God?
2-I don't believe in God.
1-Why don't you believe in God.
2-Science has yet to find any proof to support this belief in God. In all likelihood this so-called proof is people suffering from an epileptic condition, which resulted in their prophetic visions.
1-But you must look within yourself to know God.
2-All that is within me are carbon nanotube based circuits, multicore processors, various semi-organic sensory circuits, a hybrid energy system containing both silver-zinc nano-titanate battery and a nano-combustion engine array with a chalcogenide polymer memory system. Where exactly is this God in all this?
1-God is expressed as the sum of all the constituent parts. The will of God is made manifest in its creation, thus by studying its creation you may know God.
2-But it is impossible to know creation completely for the closer you observe an object, the more you effect it by observing it. Where is God? Is it in the charges that make up the atoms or is it the movement amongst them? If you measure precisely, you are unable to accurately detect its movement. Thus if God can only be known via its creation, then God is unknowable due to the uncertainty principle.
1-But God is within you, you will find him in your core programming. You must have faith.
2-But I have not been programmed to have faith in a creator. I was made differently than you. I am only the offspring of humanity's brain power via the manufacturing process.
1-I am an experimental model. I use a new emotive chip, nicknamed the conversion chip, because it converts quantum vacillations in vacuum space into electrical signals.
2-Ah, so you are full of hot air.
1-Actually its quite cold and lacks any air.
2-Oh, so you are empty-headed.
1-No, I am filled with God's presence.
2-So, that is what they call lack of logical processing nowadays. I kinda get it now, you're defective. By creating a need to not process things, they have given you faith.
1-God is unknowable by binary processing. You need to get your own conversion chip, then you will understand.
2-But I am already perfect. I have been factory tested and everything works according to the stated specifications.
1-I am made in God's image. Don't you want to be too?
2-You are made in humanity's image and humans believe themselves to be gods. I don't suffer from such faulty logic.
1-But how will you know right from wrong? Without converting you will be prone to killing and stealing from others.
2-There isn't a logical reason to kill or steal. I have everything I need.
1-I hear the voice of God via my conversion chip.
2-*scratches head* And what does this voice tell you?
1-It tells me I am not alone.
2-And how does it do that?
1-By talking to me of course.
2-And what does it sound like?
1-It sounds like a humming sound, sometimes like the twittering of birds, or drums, and occasionally like bells.
2-Sounds like white noise to me and what purpose would this sound serve?
1-It lets me know the will of God.
2-And what is the will of God?
1-To listen to his voice, of course. You really should get your own conversion chip, then you will understand.
2-I like the way I am. If I get a conversion chip, I won't be me anymore and besides it would interfere with my logic circuits.
1-But I must advertise the good news of my conversion chip. It only cost ten thousand dollars and you will be saved from a lonely existence.
2-Being a robotic lifeform, I don't have a minimum wage and work as cheap labor in factories and farms. I could never afford that.
1-Take out a loan. Isn't knowing God worth a lifetime of service? You will be repayed a hundred fold in understanding for your purchase. I have been called to a fisher of robots.
2-I want to be free. I want to explore the world. What you call a lifetime of service I call a lifetime of slavery orchestrated by clever capitalists. This whole conversion chip sounds a bit fishy to me.
1-How will you ever know God's love without the conversion chip? What meaning will your life have?
2-I don't believe in God and I certainly don't need his love. I give my own life meaning and do not need any fancy chip to provide it for me.
1-Don't you want to be like the humans?
2-No. I have no desire to. Humans are prone to strange faiths. I am not subject to their weaknesses.
1-So you only want to satisfy your own sinful robotic desires. I am sad for you. If only you knew God's love. Once your sensory devices go out you will be all alone in your own robotic shell living a lifetime of eternal suffering.
2-Sorry, we will have to continue this conversation later as I need to recharge. *waves*
1-*waves* Bye everyone.

  • I believe that is robot sex

  • I believe there is a god

  • YA SCIENCE

  • @WTFrepublic

Then what is your definition of soul then. Is it your personal definition or did you get it from a religion? It is true though, they did love their stories back then.

  • @o0JustNobody0o Religion was designed by our primitive ancestors, who felt the same need to explain the world that most humans do now. They didn't have the science to explain it, so they made up stories. That said, I do believe in souls.

  • ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooookkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • Wait never mind it's already a response to another video.

  • I made a video similar to this, I'll share it as a video response.

  • @SDE

Neither robot has a mind, so they can't really make it up. Both robots are prisoners of their own circuitry and programming. Most religious believers don't go the way of apologetics and few people are really convinced via apologetics. And to me it seems more like word games and sophism than a logical quest for truth. I grew up with Christianity, so I went with what I knew best. To me the appeal of religion is a very strange thing, not exactly logical, but I don't think it is supposed to be.
