  • How much of this route is paved?

  • Almost 100% of the 330 miles. couple missing links around pittsburgh, but for the most part it is packed gravel--very smooth and enjoyable to ride on

  • Thanks--Western PA is so blessed with trails!!! With Gas prices going crazy I can see more people taking on the 358 mile route for summer fun!

  • Cool trail, but I still would rather see WM trains running here.

  • Nice.. There is excellent riding all over the east.

  • Your bike path has nore beauty, ours, The Swamp Rabbit Trail, is paved and comes with George Hincapie time to time.... I pray ours heads up our mountains

  • It's Beautiful ! I've traveled many miles on it. There is some wildlife along the trail to view. Everyone I take on the trail has something nice to say about it. Keep America Beautiful - Please Don't Litter.

  • Very good video. Very informative in my opinion.

  • Great video! What type of camera and mike are you using? Virtually no wind noise.

  • I would ride and ride and ride on...

  • There are some paved sections in Maryland. Near DC you can get on the paved Capital Cresent trail. At George Washington Bridge in DC go down steps and ride sidewalk below. There is a tourist pagoda at National Mall that has food and drinks that is open 7 days a week.

  • The trail is crushed limestone in Pa. There are some paved sections and some street riding in Mckeesport. In Md it is gravel dirt or mud if it is raining. The C and O Canal detour is a ride in the country. They are working on fixing the detour mapping and planning a new route farther from river. Western Maryland Rail Trail is paved and smooth and faster than C and O canal towpath.

  • thanks. appreciate the video.
