Some comments are really outrageous and it's a shame... I'm Australian and I'm proud of Cathy Freeman ! I'm proud of what she accomplished for all the Australians and by Australians, I mean ALL Australians. She's one of our best athletes in the history.

Being a track and field fanatic, I remember needing a Kleenex when Cathy won, and I'm an American, that's how much I respect her and her successes. I hope she is living a good life in Oz!!!

Thank you for your awesome positive comment, it's just funny because land wise it's one of the biggest countries in the world. All Aussies get a good laugh when Americans talk about how big Texas their biggest state is because our biggest state can not only fit Texas in it but western Europe at the same time. You are also right about the money. America finances their athletes and also have a much higher population. We don't mind tho we live in an amazing place, please come and visit soon.

The 400m dash is a big deal. Its the hardest race in track and field. You put your horses in that race, so what is your point?
