  • the cleveland group is emboding the spirit of ayler's journey toward how they know him but pity that its more of a theatre piece than anything else.

  • did you happen to see "this trio" at the Glenn Miller Cafe?

  • we are not interpreting ayler's music, we are emboding the spirit of ayler's journey toward how we know him. its more of a theatre piece than anything else. besides Marc Ribot? are you kidding?

  • The vocalist is obnoxious. Ayler's music doesn't need anyone to speak for it and this guy makes it almost impossible to hear. Marc Ribot does a better job interpreting Ayler's music

  • uhm ok. then I must have mixed up this orchestra with someone else.

  • dude we have never been to sweden!

  • i saw the main trio (bass drums alto) here in sweden. i understand that it doesn't have anything to do with albert aylers compisitions. i still didn't like it, even though they are very good players. i don't think that they live up to the greatness on albert ayler, and that they shouldn't get gigs and play behind the name of ayler.

  • first off its not a trio. there are twelve musicians playing in this clip. second off, these cats are from Albert Ayler's hometown. and lastly, the piece is a meta text on ayler's life, and interpretation on what drove is sonic situation, not a concert of his compositions.

  • i saw this trio here in sweden. i didn't like it. i don't think they have anything to do with albert ayler. sure it's "meditations on albert ayler", but i that case, i think the meditations, suck.
