It has been a long time since I last uploaded a music video. But here I am to erase that mistake, so please don't kill me.
After my previous video, which was a little more subdued, I wanted to do something which was, shall we say, louder. So I went with 'RoboCop' (1987), one of the best movies of my fellow Dutchman Paul Verhoeven. I love this movie a lot and the music kicks all kinds of ass.
'RoboCop' revolves around a cop called Alex James Murphy who is transferred to the crime-ridden city of Detroit. Not being a lucky type of guy Murphy soon finds himself on the wrong end of a few shotguns. Needless to say he's blown to pieces. In an effort to revolutionize crime fighting a company called OCP uses Murphy, or what's left of him, as the human element in a cyborg. Thus RoboCop is born. His work on the streets is an amazing succes until he is confronted with the gang that killed him. Heading them is one of the vilest villains ever to be featured on the silver screen: Clarence Boddicker.
The music in 'RoboCop' was created by Basil Poledouris a.k.a. the composer of some of the most badass soundtracks you'll ever hear. This is certainly one of his best works.
'RoboCop' and its music belong to Orion Pictures.

Awsome video. When this came out it was the most intensely violent movie ever put on screen I think and entertaining as all hell. Movies have gotten more gory and violent but they lack the grittiness and 'substance' that those mid-80's sci-fi flicks had...The Fly, Aliens,The Terminator, etc etc.
