  • The original sketches by Bonnie Dalzell I believe are much more in keeping with Larry Niven's description of them in his book.

  • cool. i always pictured them more like the species from the 'fluidic' universe/dimension from star trek voyager, but with a suede like exterior.

  • There were some nice drawings in the old Ringworld role-playing game, very different from any recent computer-animated image I've seen, most of which dwell too much on the cartoonish look of the game Spore. The drawings I'm thinking of resembled a deer or gazelle with a single hind leg and a wide front body to support the two necks. Nice art but the above image doesn't appear to be a swift runner, and Nessus certainly could run.
