Canadian Press: "Newfoundland musician Alan Doyle of Great Big Sea added his voice to the

hunt debate in a journal entry from the group's current tour.

Doyle said the McCartneys photo op on the ice is misleading to the public

and unfair to sealers.

"There has not been a cute and cuddly baby seal hunt in a long, long time,"

Doyle said, pointing out that Canada has banned the killing of newborn,

whitecoat pups."

Having been to Newfoundland in 2002, and now returning to the rock at the end of June 2009...

I know...the world sees the seal hunt thru very tainted glaces..

Fewer whales, to hunt the seals...Less fish...means many die of starvation....

while at the Arches , we saw dozens of seal carcasses.. it was the saddest sight i have ever seen..

Actually they board and sabotage whaling ships quite often. But I'll make you a deal, neither of us is going to persuade the other over this point so I'll stick to my ideas and you stick to yours and we'll both not embarrass ourselves having an argument/heated discussion over YouTube. May I point out that the Japanese whaleling fleet has suspended its whaling this year due to Sea Shepherd? I'd call that a result, blackbeard or no.

They do mate! Have you not heard of Sea Shepherd? They hunt down an disable whaling ships an are wanted on several counts of piracy! Sounds like fun to me tbh!
