Inspired by the Disney movie "Tangled", here is Rapunzel's braid, sans flowers, from the scene where she first enters the city. Before you leave me a comment about how this totally isn't the same braid because it is way too skinny, rest assured that it is, indeed, the very same braid. It's just that my measly almost four feet can't compare to her 70, that's all. :o)

  • I love your hair! I am only fourteen and only have two feet of hair:/ I hope my hair can get long like yours. I don't use heat on it, but I was wondering, what else would you recommend to get longer hair?

  • @eyeslovebeauty17x Only trim when you need it. I say every 6 months is plenty - I usually go around 8 months or so between trims. There is no reason to go in for a cut if your ends aren't split - and when you do go in for a trim be sure they only take off the minimum - have them show you how much they are going to cut before they cut it!

  • Wowww you are very beautiful.. Curvy, long blond hair, feminine face.. i love your style :) anyway i was wondering if you think 1year without triming is alot? because i wanna grow my hair but they don't grow alot (like..8 centimeters a year :( ) .. thank u for answering !

  • @pidigrimerde I only trim mine when I notice the ends splitting. Around every 8 months or so. If your ends aren't splitting there is no need to go in for a trim. If you can go a year without one, then awesome!

  • wait, so only the "outside" right part of the dutch braid gets an added piece of hair? or is it every time the strand goes "outside". gah, I hope you understand my question, it's badly worded. xD

  • @littoswtangvil Every time you add hair (that would be every turn) you add only to the outside strand as opposed to both the outside and the inside before a turn.

  • @MILKYWAIMAN I apologize. I guess I just didn't think that anyone of the age where crap would be deemed as offensive language would be perusing You Tube...there's a lot worse on here. Of course, if I'd have thought about it, it is a braid based on a cartoon character, so for that I do apologize. I try very hard to watch my language on here as I know that I have some parents who watch me with their kids...in my regular life I cuss like a sailor.

  • you make long hair look so beautiful!!(:

  • This would look smoother if you could reseparate those dutch braids into their original three sections, and merge them into one another, keeping the right strands together, then the center, then the left strands...... Easier said than done when you're doing it on yourself, but definitely manageable on the head of a second person, or with outside help.

  • very pretty! i am comparing it to a screenshot now and it looks so close! except for her hair is like super thick and inhuman, yes. :)

  • awesome

  • limited? your hair is lovely blond and long!!!

  • I believe her braid is a fourstrand braid with those four strands braided :) I've done it before and it looks good with mid-back length hair to any longer

  • They got 70 ft up because it is folded over and wrapped around a few times...look at how many layers the braid is in the movie :)
